What changes when you convert VTT to SRT
- Timestamps change from 00:00:01.000 (VTT, dot) to 00:00:01,000 (SRT, comma), and every cue gets a sequential number.
- The WEBVTT header, NOTE blocks and cue settings such as position and alignment are removed, because SRT does not support them.
- SRT is accepted by almost every video player and editor (VLC, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, YouTube), while VTT is mainly used by HTML5 video on the web.
